Oro, Misor exporters, designers join international fashion, crafts fair
CAGAYAN
de Oro City--Three local exporters and three designers from
Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental took part in the leading international
fashion and crafts fair, Manila Furnishings and Apparel Manufacturers’ Exchange
(Manila FAME) on 20-22 October 2016 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City,
Manila.
These
designers were Christopher L. Gomez, Maria Francesca Nicole B. Cabanlet
and Patrick U. Gabutina.
Siezing
this great opportunity, the Department of Trade and Industry facilitated the
participation of local exporters, namely: Cagayan de Oro Handmade Paper, The
Stoneware Pottery and Puyo Handicrafts.
Rosvi
Gaetos, Executive Director of CITEM, visited the Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair
last August 19, 2016 at SM Cagayan de Oro and saw the new and beautiful designs
showcased by local designers. She encouraged and offered them an opportunity to
showcase their work in Manila FAME.
The
Department of Trade and Industry Misamis Oriental Provincial Office continues
to support exporters in accessing international market thru business matching,
participating in trade fairs, organizing trade fairs, organizing outbound trade
missions and a lot more.
Manila
FAME was launched in 1983 and it’s the most prestigious bi-annual event
organized by the Philippine Center for International Trade Expositions and
