Media forum slated on June 24 in Kalibo

KALIBO, Aklan- A regional media forum is set here on June 24, this year.

Sponsored by the Aklan Press Club, Inc./Kapihan Sa Aklan and provincial government of Aklan, in cooperation with the Publishers Association of the Philippines, Inc. and the Federation of Provincial Press Clubs of the Philippines, Inc.( FPPCPI), the whole day media event is called the Allen Salas Quimpo Memorial Media Forum ( ASQMMF) to be held at the Aklan Training Center.

The regional media forum--named in honor of Aklan's favorite son, the late Congressman Allen Salas Quimpo, an advocate educational reforms, environment, press freedom, ASEAN economic integration, and humanitarianism--will cover topics such us Dutertenomics, Federalism, legal parameters of press freedom, food security and agriculture and other relevant issues, tourism particularly.

Expected to address the event are leading authorities on Dutertenomics, food security and agriculture, federalism, tourism, press freedom, martial law, climate change and environment. Some experts will also serve as panelist and resource persons.

Invited to attend and participate in the forum are journalist from print, broadcast, and social media of Western Visayas, LGU executives, academicians, writers, school campus editors and publication advisers, NGO leaders and representatives of other sectors and institutions, including executive of national government agencies and information officers of various municipalities and cities of Western Visayas.
